Continuing Hatha

Appropriate for intermediate students.  In this class, we will hold poses longer and explore more challenging sequencing, including deeper backbending and weight-bearing inversions.  With space to rest and contemplate.  Slow flow.  Invigorating!

Vinyasa

A peaceful power class, this is faster-paced, sequencing breath with movement.  In this class, we transition using the yoga staples of down-dog, chaturanga, and upward-facing dog.  Elevates heart rate and may encourage a bit of sweating!

Namaste Club for Teens

We at Peaceful Poses understand that adolescence is no walk in the park.  We can especially sympathize because one of us was 5'11" at the age of eleven.  Yoga is a fantastic foundation for body confidence and self-esteem.  In the Namaste Club, teens can learn yoga basics, in a fun and carefree environment.  Ask Carolyn about sessions.

TGIT Restorative Yoga

Pint-Size Posers

Calling Lil' Yogis!  (Ages 3-6).  In this class, children are encouraged to develop strong bodies, love and respect for themselves, and tools for finding peace and stillness.  Swapping sanskrit for stretching, barking, hissing, singing and roaring, they learn to let their little lights shine!  (Carolyn's niece, Maeve, is particularly fond of the "namaste" song.)  Mommas and Poppas are welcome to linger in the reception or can drop off mini-buddhas at the studio.  Ask Carolyn about next session.
